Instant Teams is hiring a Provider Relations Specialist with strong claims management experience to support our growing network of healthcare providers. In this 100% remote position, you will serve as a vital liaison between providers and internal teams including managing inquiries related to claims, eligibility, benefits, and contract terms. This role demands a strong foundation in claims resolution, provider training, and contract compliance.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in provider relations and possess deep knowledge of claims handling and contract compliance. Your efforts will directly impact service delivery for military members and their families while helping maintain a high-functioning provider network.

  • Pay: $20/hour | 40 hours per week
  • Post-Training Schedule: Shift will fall between 8am - 7pm EST (8 hours per day | 30-minute lunch)
  • Training Schedule:
    • Training schedule to mimic assigned post-training schedule
    • Monday - Friday between the hours of 8am-7pm EST
    • Training length = 2 weeks
  • Anticipated Start Date: ASAP!
  • This is a Temporary Position with an end date of 10/31/2025!

Day in the life: As a Provider Relations Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our provider network. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Proven experience in provider network management or a related field (minimum 4 years)
  • Knowledge of billing, claims processes, and contract compliance
  • Analyzes problems and provides information/solutions
  • Operates a PC to obtain and extract information, documents information, activities and changes in the database
  • Develops and maintains positive relations and coordinates various functions within the company to ensure requests and questions are handled appropriately and in a timely manner
  • Proactively address and resolve any provider or participant issues, maintaining a high level of satisfaction and network reliability
  • Provides external and internal customers with requested information
  • Proficient in all basic customer service functions
  • Proficient in using relevant healthcare management software and tools
  • Engage in ongoing recruitment efforts to expand and enhance the provider network, identifying and attracting high-quality providers
  • Strong knowledge of billing, claims processes, and contract compliance
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Seeks, understands and responds to the needs and expectations of internal and external customers
  • Required to meet departmental goals and expectations

Must-Haves:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in provider network management, healthcare customer service, or claims processing
  • Hands-on experience in healthcare claims management, including adjudication, denial resolution, appeals, and provider inquiries
  • Proficient in healthcare management systems and tools (e.g., claims platforms, CRMs, and provider portals)
  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and act decisively
  • A team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration and communication skills
  • The ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting while staying organized and detail-oriented
  • A customer-first attitude—you genuinely care about resolving issues and providing top-tier support
  • Must be familiar with military organizations, installations, and families
  • Ability to work from home with internet access and a quiet and private workspace
  • Requires a HS diploma or equivalent and previous experience in an automated customer service environment; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background
