About Aurelius Systems
Aurelius Systems is a directed energy company developing edge-deployed laser systems for counter-unmanned aerial systems (cUAS); we shoot down drones with laser guns. In an era where threats are increasingly small, numerous, and easily manufactured, our mission is to provide scalable, advanced, and cost-effective defense solutions for the U.S. and its allies. We’re building our team to launch our flagship product: the Archimedes Laser Sentinel, a portable laser defense platform that protects servicemen, servicewomen, and domestic security forces.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Collaborate with technical leadership to forecast workforce needs and define role requirements.
  • Partner with the Head of Operations to manage headcount planning and reporting.
  • Work alongside marketing and leadership to strengthen Aurelius’s employer brand.
  • Over time, build and lead a small internal recruiting and operations coordination team.
Must Haves

  • Proven ability to hire in fast-moving, high-stakes environments.
  • A systems builder; must be comfortable creating processes where little exists.
  • Exceptional organization, scheduling, and communication skills.
  • Confident communicator capable of influencing at the executive level.
  • Balanced operator; Must be strategic and hands-on, with a bias for action.
  • Passionate about building a mission-driven, high-performance culture.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience building and leading a recruiting or operations team.
  • Prior defense technology or government contracting experience.
  • Familiarity with security clearance and classified hiring processes.

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.
Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way.
